MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS DEAL BOOTCAMP
(LAWW-4048) - 2 UNITS

This course will use a hypothetical corporate acquisition of a privately-held company to provide students with a basic understanding of how to successfully execute an M&A transaction from its inception through to closing on the deal. Using a simulated deal format, students will be provided with a solid understanding of the key principles and techniques in order to be well-prepared as junior transactional lawyers to deal with the issues that routinely arise in the course of planning and executing a fully-negotiated M&A transaction. This is a skills-based course during which students will be asked to perform due diligence, draft several supporting documents and ultimately turn negotiated business terms provided to them into portions of a complex transaction document.
