LICENSING AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER
(LAWP-8030) - 3 UNITS

The course examines the transfer of intellectual property (IP) and associated know-how between firms (licensing) as well as the diffusion of technology from research institutions to private firms. IP licensing involves both private law (primarily contract and intellectual property) and public law (antitrust/competition, bankruptcy and international trade law). The course will feature a close examination of legal and commercial issues encountered in license agreements.
