ART OF JURY SELECTION
(LAWJ-4093) - 2 UNITS

This course will teach students about the science and art behind strategically choosing what is a critical part of every jury trial: the jurors. Some estimates are that 70% of trials are won or lost at the jury selection stage, yet lawyers are rarely taught how to pick jurors. This course will teach students how to analyze human behavioral patterns and motivations to select the best jury for their client. Students will study the history of the jury system, voir dire, Wheeler motions and the use of jury questionnaires.
