LEGAL DRAFTING
(LAWJ-4026) - 2 UNITS

The Course will teach the student to draft pleading/litigation documents. Fundamentals of legal drafting and the integration of substantive law will be emphasized. The Course will take a civil litigation matter from the beginning to the end. The students will be required to draft various litigation and client documents. Initially, students may draft a retainer agreement, client opinion letter, fee analysis, and/or litigation plan. Students will also draft a complaint, answer, contract, settlement agreement, and discovery plan. The assignments will vary depending on the case selected. There will be no final exam.
