LAW AND LEADERSHIP
(LAWJ-4022) - 1 UNIT

Increasingly, lawyers are being called to be leaders. This can be both inside traditional structures such as law firms, but also in business, politics, and civic life. This course will explore the range of tasks and decisions consistently confronting leaders, offering reflection on where legal training can be of assistance and where supplemental learning is needed. This course will include weekly presentations from lawyers who are leaders in diverse fields. Grading is P/NP and will be based on reaction papers as well as the submission and completion of a personal leadership plan. Classes will take place during the first seven weeks of the semester only.
