ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION
(LAWJ-4014) - 2 UNITS

This class is an introduction to the many Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) processes with a focus on Arbitration, Mediation and Negotiation. Taught by an active ADR practitioner with nearly two decades of experience, the course is designed to provide a "real-life" viewpoint of how lawyers actually use ADR as a vital tool in their practice. Course materials will be a combination of articles, books and case law that highlights currently evolving themes in ADR law and practice. Each class will be a combination of a lecture and a related class exercise. Students will become familiar with the various ADR processes and gain an understanding and insight as to how to use them most effectively when in practice.
