LEGAL INFORMATION LITERACY AND COMMUNICATION FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS
(LAWJ-3020) - 2 UNITS

This course will provide the foundational understanding of American law needed to succeed in substantive law classes. Students will learn the sources of law, the hierarchy of legal authority, and legal citation conventions. Students will also learn how to conduct legal research and will explore the differences between fee-based and free legal resources. Students will have the opportunity to communicate the results of their research and analysis in business correspondence such as emails and in short memoranda.
