FOUNDATIONS OF AMERICAN LAW
(LAWJ-1101) - 1 UNIT

This course will introduce students to the basic vocabulary and concepts of law in the United States. The course will cover the structure of US government and courts, sources of US law, basic principles of common law, and legal reasoning. The course will survey substantive law in a range of foundational subjects, including contracts, torts, criminal law, criminal procedure, civil procedure, and Constitutional law.
