LEGAL WRITING AND ANALYSIS
(LAWJ-1100) - 1 UNIT

Legal Analysis and Writing is an on-line, 13 module course designed as an introduction to legal analysis and writing in the context of Federal and California Law, and in law school course work. The course will investigate the sources of the law, and will focuses on the how to research the law, and interpret it with an emphasis on judicial opinions and statutes. The hierarchy of the law and legal sources, jurisdictions and courts will also be discussed. Students will be introduced to and practice rule synthesis and case briefing, and will be exposed to the structure and format of law school classes, lectures and examinations as well as other means that student are evaluated in law school.
