FAMILY LAW PRACTICUM
(LAWI-4080) - 2 UNITS

This course will proive an in-depth exploration of the practical issues that family law practitioners encounter in interviewing clients and gathering and effectively presenting evidence. Students will also survey the evidentiary and other challenges that commonly arise in high-conflict and domestic violence cases, coupled with an analysis of the pros and cons of the current tools to address them. There will be 12 hours of in-class instruction; the remainder of the semester will be spent doing field work at the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice.
