LICENSING IN A GLOBAL CONTEXT
(LAWI-4072) - 2 UNITS

IP licensing involves both private law (primarily contract and intellectual property) and public law (antitrust/competition and trade law). The course will explore U.S. and European cases and legislation affecting licensing. At the global level, IP licensing flows are encouraged and regulated in a number of instruments, including the WTO Agreements. The course will feature a close examination of legal and commercial issues encountered in license agreements.
