INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS
(LAWG-4007) - 3 UNITS

This survey course provides an overview of what every lawyer should know about international human rights law. The course details the international and regional systems for protecting human rights, focusing on the key players, institutions and procedures. Students will learn the ins and outs of human rights mechanisms: their structure, functions, challenges and potential. Students will also gain a foundational understanding of how to conduct human rights advocacy and litigation.

This course is a prerequisite for the International Human Rights Practicum.
