Technology and social change have dramatically influenced the economic shape of the industry for athletes and professional sports teams. This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of key legal and business aspects involved in starting and growing a sports business (talent representation). Students will learn about the fundamental legal principles and regulations that govern the sports industry, including contract law, labor law, intellectual property rights, and athlete representation. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and interactive discussions, students will understand the economic framework around athlete representation and the risks and opportunities of operating a sports business.
