INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY LICENSING TRANSACTIONS
(LAWF-4055) - 2 UNITS

The course examines the transfer of intellectual property rights and associated know-how between firms and across national frontiers. IP licensing involves both private law (primarily contract and intellectual property) and public law (antitrust/competition and trade law). At the global level, IP licensing flows are encouraged and regulated in a number of instruments, including the WTO Agreements. The course will feature a close examination of legal issues encountered in license agreements. Intro to IP or any other IP related courses will satisfy the prerequisite requirements.
