ART AND THE LAW SEMINAR
(LAWF-4016) - 2 UNITS

This course will explore legal issues relating to cultural property in general, including rights and obligations of artists, dealers, collectors, and museums. Specifically, this course will focus on art trade practices; illicit international trade in art; cultural reparations and repatriation; copyright; artists' rights; and ethical standards governing the acquisition and retention of works of art. The course will include presentations by practicing attorneys, curators, dealers, and artists.
