Insurance has a major impact on business, real estate, healthcare, professional services, the Internet, and finance. Without insurance, many enterprises would be unfeasible. This is course will demonstrate the need for every business, consumer, transactional and litigation attorney to understand insurance, and the essential role insurance plays in our society. This course will develop an appreciation as to how we all rely upon insurance to address the most casualty, liability and legal risks. We will also review key areas of contract law, torts, remedies, agency and civil procedure within the context of major insurance cases and statutes.
