ACCOUNTING FOR LAWYERS
(LAWB-4005) - 1 UNIT

This is an introductory course designed for students with NO accounting education, training or experience. This course will provide students with an understanding of basic accounting concepts with a focus on the practical importance of these principles for transactional business lawyers. Students will gain an understanding of the development and analysis of financial statements including the balance sheet, income statement and statement of cash flows. The course is intended to introduce students to basic principles of accounting that transactional business lawyers need to know to be able to review and analyze a business entity's financial statements with a focus on assisting their clients who are involved in business transactions.

This is a one-unit course that will meet for the first 7 weeks of the semester and is offered on a Pass/Fail basis.
